According to the marketing agency NAPI, in January-August 2026, new car sales in Russia reached 0.83 million units (+9.0% year-on-year), while used car sales totaled 3.81 million units (+2.6%).
A similar trend took place in Moscow: new car sales grew by 12.6% and reached 108.4 thousand units, while used car sales increased by 3.5% to 227.3 thousand units. The capital's share in new car sales reached 13.1% (+0.4 p.p.), and in used car sales — 6.0% (+0.1 p.p.).
The best-selling new cars in Moscow were TENET T7, HAVAL JOLION, GEELY MONJARO, BELGEE X50, and MAZDA CX-5. TOP-10 new car models accounted for 26.3% of total sales in the capital. Among used cars, FORD FOCUS, KIA RIO, HYUNDAI SOLARIS, VOLKSWAGEN POLO, and TOYOTA CAMRY were in the greatest demand among Muscovites. TOP-10 leaders accounted for 14.4% of car sales in Moscow.
