Used Japanese car sales fell more than the market

According to the NAPI, Japanese cars are still in the greatest demand in the used car market: they account for almost 27%. However, sales of Japanese cars decreased by 11.8% over the first ten months of 2024, while the entire used car market — by 6.3%. Russian and Korean cars felt better than the market: their sales fell by 0.2% and 5.5%, respectively.

The number of commercial vehicles produced exceeds that in 2019

According to the NAPI, over the first ten months of 2024, the production of all vehicle types increased by 34.3% on the similar period of 2023. However, compared to the prosperous 2019, the vehicle production decreased by 45.6% due to a sharp decline in the car production. In 2024, the production of all types of commercial vehicles grew on 2019, especially in the LCV segment (+20.1%) and in the bus segment (+21.6%).
