The number of Chinese vehicles in the LCV population is 26 times smaller than that of Russian ones
According to the marketing agency NAPI, as of July 1, 2026, the LCV population* numbers 4.5 million vehicles.
Of these, 63.4%, or 2.8 million units, are vehicles of Russian brands. German vehicles rank second in the population (9.0% or 406.1 thousand units), while Japanese vehicles occupy the third line (8.2% or 369.3 thousand units). According to the marketing agency NAPI, 40.53 thousand new plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) were sold in January-July 2026, which was a 140.3% rise year-on-year. Hybrid vehicle sales to private customers increased by 155.9% year-on-year, to leasing customers - by 152.7%, while to corporate clients using other payment methods (own funds, on credit, etc.) - by 20.6%.
