According to the marketing agency NAPI, in January-August 2026, leasing of cars and commercial vehicles reached 178.9 thousand units, representing a 1.1% rise on the first 8 months of last year. Compared to January-August 2024, leasing decreased by 37.9%.
Despite the overall leasing decline, growth took place in the car, truck, and trailer segments.
- Car leasing in January-August 2026 totaled 99.2 thousand units (+3.0% on 2025). The share of cars in total leasing volume was 55.4% (+1 p.p.).
- 27.6 thousand light commercial vehicles* were leased (-8.5%). They accounted for 15.4% of total leasing (-1.7 p.p.).
- The number of trucks** leased reached 34.7 thousand units (+4.6%). The share of trucks in total leasing made 19.4% (+0.7 p.p.).
- Trailer leasing totaled 14.4 thousand units (+4.6%). Its share grew to 8.1% (+0.3 p.p.).
- Over the first 8 months of 2026, 3.0 thousand buses were leased (-16.1%). The share of buses in total leasing fell to 1.7% (-0.3 p.p.).
However, no segment reached the levels of January–August 2024. The 2026 results are lower than the previous year’s ones by:

- -32.1% - LCV
- -49.7% - trucks
- -53.1% - trailers
- -40.2% - buses
