The marketing agency NAPI analyzed the used car market based on the results of the first half of the current year.
On average, cars aged over 20 years account for 18.8% of used car sales in Russia, but in forty-two regions this figure exceeds the national average one. The Kamchatka region led the way by the share of cars aged over 20 years, where these older cars accounted for almost half of the entire used car market.
Over the year, sales of cars aged over 20 years decreased slightly in Russia (-0.3%), while sales of these cars increased in 69 regions. The Leningrad region became the leader by growth rate, with sales of older cars increasing by 27.2%.
