11.09.2026 / Trucks of which years of manufacture dominated sales during the first eight months of 2026?

According to the marketing agency NAPI, 160.2 thousand new and used trucks* were sold in January-August 2026, which was a 3.4% decline on to the previous year. Sales of new trucks fell by 15.2% to 32.1 thousand units, while those of used ones grew by 0.1% and reached 128.0 thousand units.

In the new vehicle sales, trucks manufactured in 2026 accounted for 37.2% (11.9 thousand units). Another 33.6% (10.8 thousand units) of new truck sales belonged to models manufactured in 2025, while 29.3% (9.4 thousand units) to those manufactured in 2024.

Among used truck sales, vehicles manufactured in 2024–2026 accounted for less than 5% (6.2 thousand units). However, a significant number of vehicles manufactured in 2023 were sold —16.1 thousand units, or 12.6%.

Vehicles manufactured in 2020–2022 accounted for 16.2% (20.7 thousand units) of sales, while those manufactured in 2011–2015 - for 19.1% (24.4 thousand units). Segments of vehicles of 2016–2019 (17.2 thousand units) and 2006–2010 years of manufacture (16.9 thousand units) accounted for over 13% of sales each.

A total of 26.5 thousand trucks manufactured in 2005 or earlier were sold in January–August, representing 20.7% of all used vehicle sales.
