According to the marketing agency NAPI, 54.5 thousand new and used trucks* were leased in January to December 2025, which was a 46.7% decline on the previous year, when 102.4 thousand trucks were leased. Of the total number of trucks leased, 26.1 thousand units were new (-66.3% on 2024), and 28.5 thousand units were used (+13.4%). In 2025, the share of leasing in new truck sales decreased from 62.8% to 43.3%, while that in used truck sales grew from 11.8% to 13.7%.
Among new trucks, leasing accounts for the highest share in construction vehicle (60.4%), tractor units (51.3%) and dropside vehicle/curtainsider (51.3%) sales. Among used trucks, the largest share of leasing was in the tractor unit segment (21.9%). It should be noted that vans, both new and used, are the least frequently leased.
