17.03.2026 / The share of new Chinese trucks has fallen below 50% in several segments

The marketing agency NAPI analyzed the changing share of Russian and Chinese trucks* in the new and used truck market by segment. In January-February 2026, the share of new Chinese trucks decreased by 12.6 p.p. to 37.1%, while that of used trucks grew by 8.7 p.p. and reached 21.7%. Similarly, the share of new Russian trucks increased by 12.5 p.p.to 51.9%, while that of used trucks fell by 6.1 p.p. to 36.9%.

In the new truck sales composition, the share of Chinese trucks decreased, accounting for less than 50% of sales in most segments. The most significant share decline took place in the segments of tractor units (from 63.1% to 48.4%), vans (from 56.7% to 43.1%), and dumpers (from 62.2% to 49.4%). The share of Russian vehicles in these segments increased, reaching 45.3% (+19.3 p.p.), 54.2% (+13.5 p.p.), and 38.1% (+10 p.p.), respectively. Meanwhile, in the new lifting vehicle segment, the share of Chinese trucks grew by 3.9 p.p. to 41.0%, while that of Russian trucks fell by 3.7 p.p. to 56.7%.

The share of Chinese trucks in used vehicle sales increased across all segments. In the dumper segment, their share was 45.3% (+15 p.p.), in the construction vehicle segment - 32.9% (+12.2 p.p.), and in the tractor unit segment - 22.9% (+11.5 p.p.). The share of Russian used trucks decreased the most in the dumper segment – ​​to 39.4% (-12.2 p.p.).
