According to Russian Automotive Market Research, in the first quarter of 2021 sales of Chinese brands in the new car market amounted to 17.6 thousand units, which was a 70% rise on the result of the same period of 2020. At the same time, their share increased from 2.8% to 5.1%.

CHERY is the leader of the Russian new car market among Chinese brands. In the first quarter of 2021, the brand's sales amounted to 6.2 thousand units, which was almost 4-fold growth year-on-year.

TOP-10 regions by the share of Chinese brands in the regional market were led by the Irkutsk region and the Khakassia Republic, in which sales of new cars from China accounted for 10.8% of the local market.
