According to the NAPI (National Industrial Information Agency), in April, May, and June 2022, fewer cars were manufactured in Russia than in Uzbekistan. According to the half-year results, Russia outstrips Uzbekistan in terms of the car production due to the best results in January-March, but the gap is not so great anymore. It is interesting to note that this year, the car production in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has been growing for all months on the last year. If the growth rates in Uzbekistan are maintained and the car production in Russia is slowly recovering by the end of the year, the gap between Uzbekistan and Russia may be less than 100 thousand cars.
