According to the marketing agency NAPI, 12.5 thousand new and used trailers were issued for financial leasing in January-July 2026, which was a 4.7% rise on the similar period last year, but a 53.1% decline on 2024.
Following results of the first seven months, 5.4 thousand new vehicles were leased, having decreased by 9.8% year-on-year and by 73.0% over a two-year period. Among TOP-5 trailer types, leasing growth took place in the segments of curtainsided trailers (+18.7%), tankers (+18.7%), and dump trailers (+3.6%). Conversely, the sharp decline was observed in the segments of dropside trailers (-29.7%) and container carriers (-49.1%).
Overall, the share of new vehicles in trailer leasing is steadily declining: from 75.7% in 2024 to 50.5% in 2025, and to 43.5% in 2026.
Used trailer leasing grew by 19.5% on 2025 and by 8.9% on 2024, reaching 7.1 thousand units in January–July of the current year. In the top list by vehicle type, positive dynamics was shown by segments of curtainsided trailers (+27.0%), dropside trailers (+43.1%), reefers (+6.2%), and tankers (+23.2%). Dump trailers were the only segment to experience a leasing decline (-23.3%).
