27.11.2025 / Leasing of used trucks exceeded that of new ones for the first time in three years

The marketing agency NAPI analyzed the dynamics of new and used truck* leasing. Truck leasing grew most significantly in 2023: +107% in January-October. Leasing of new trucks grew by 123.6%, while that of used trucks – by 59.6%. Over the similar period of 2024, truck leasing decreased by 18.7%: leasing of new trucks fell by 21.6%, that of used ones – by 7.3%. Over the first 10 months of the current year, truck leasing has collapsed by more than 2-fold. Leasing of new trucks fell by 69.7%, due to which leasing of used ones was up by 13.7%. In January-October 2025, truck leasing was 17% lower than that in the similar period of 2022.

It should be noted that used truck leasing accounted for only 20%-26% in January-October 2022-2024, while over the first 10 months of 2025, the share of used truck leasing reached 52.6%.
