22.04.2026 / How private and corporate customers purchased electric and hybrid cars in Q I 2024-2026

According to the marketing agency NAPI, 13.8 thousand new PHEV hybrid cars were sold in January-March 2026, which was a 126.4% rise year-on-year. Hybrid car sales to private clients grew by 149.8% over the year, while those to customers leasing cars - by 141.1%. Meanwhile, hybrid car sales to corporate clients using other payment methods (with own funds, on credit, etc.) decreased by 5.0%.

Compared to Q I 2025, the share of private clients in hybrid car sales increased by 7.5 p.p. to 80.1%, the share of customers leasing cars - by 0.8 p.p. to 13.8%, while the share of corporate clients fell by 8.4 p.p. to 6.0%.

Moreover, in Q I 2026, 2.2 thousand electric cars were sold, which was a 18.4% rise on the previous year. Compared to 2025, sales of electric cars to private clients grew by 30.8%, while those to customers leasing cars - by 71.2%. Meanwhile, corporate clients purchased 71.0% fewer electric cars.

The share of private clients in electric car sales reached 78.5% (+7.4 p.p.), while customers leasing cars accounted for 17.6% (+5.5 p.p.). The share of corporate clients fell to 3.9% (-12 p.p.).

It should be noted that in the first quarter of the current year, sales of PHEV hybrid cars increased by 8.0% on 2024. At the same time, sales of electric cars were significantly lower than 2024 figures – 62.8%.
