According to the marketing agency NAPI, 32.3 thousand PHEVs and 9.1 thousand electric cars were sold in January-May 2026.
Hybrid car sales grew by 97.7% year-on-year. New hybrid cars were more popular, with their sales increasing by 122.8% to 24.7 thousand units. Used hybrid car sales were up by 44.4% and reached 7.6 thousand units.
Electric car sales grew by 15.3% year-on-year. New electric car sales increased by 10.1% to 3.8 thousand units. Used electric car sales exceeded the previous year's figure, reaching 5.3 thousand units (+19.3%).
Models of 2023-2025 years of manufacture accounted for the largest share in used hybrid car sales (72.4%). Among used electric cars, models of 2022-2024 years of manufacture dominated sales, accounting for 56.4%. Moreover, models manufactured in 2023 accounted for more than a third of both hybrid and electric car sales.
Of all new hybrid cars sold, models manufactured in 2025 accounted for more than half, or 56.3%. Among electric cars, models of 2025 and 2026 years of manufacture accounted for 46.3% and 43.5%, respectively.
