20.10.2022 / Breakthrough of the Chinese brands in the tractor unit and dumper segments

According to the data of NAPI (National Industrial Information Agency), dumpers and tractor units are in the greatest demand in the new truck market. So, following results of the first nine months of 2022, these segments accounted for 33% and 19.4%, respectively. Sales of dumpers in 2022 increased by 38.2%, while those of tractor units fell by 47.9%.

Chinese vehicles became leaders in the dumper segment following results of the first nine months of 2022, whereas last year the first place was occupied by Russian dumpers.
Moreover, in 2022, the Chinese brands are actively developing the segment of tractor units, in which they previously practically did not work. Over the first nine months of 2021, the Chinese brands occupied a modest ninth place, their share in the tractor unit segment was 0.8%. This year, Chinese brands took the third place with a share of 12.9%.
