New LCV leasing is growing
According to the marketing agency NAPI, 46.1 thousand new and used light commercial vehicles (LCV)* were issued for financial and operational leasing over the first nine months of 2024, which was a 16.5% rise on January-September last year. The share of leased vehicles in the new LCV market slightly decreased over the first nine months of 2024, due to faster market growth. In the used vehicle market, the share of leased LCV fell to 1.7%.

The car and light commercial vehicle production grew at the highest rate
The marketing agency NAPI analyzed data on the production and sales of new vehicles in January-September 2024. The car and light commercial vehicle production grew at the highest rates (+37.6% and 34.2%, respectively). The production of trucks increased by 7.6%, while their sales fell by 11.7% over the same period. The growth rates of bus production and sales were almost equal.

Chinese light van sales soared by 335%
According to the marketing agency NAPI, sales of new Chinese light vans (with GVW of up to 6 tons inclusive) soared by 334.7% over the first nine months of 2024. As a result, the share of vans in sales of new Chinese light commercial vehicles (LCV)* doubled and reached 14%. Chinese brands accounted for a total of 15.6% of the new LCV market.
