26.10.2023 / 30% of LCV purchased by private buyers are traditional foreign cars

According to the marketing agency NAPI, over the first nine months of 2023, the share of traditional foreign LCV, including pickups, in the market of new light commercial vehicles for private buyers amounted to 30%. Private buyers are in no hurry to buy Chinese vehicles: as a result, the share of Chinese brands was 12.5%. Corporate customers have other preferences, Russian brands account for the vast majority – 84.9%. Chinese LCV are even in less demand among corporate customers because, first of all, their vehicles are represented by pickups, which are more popular among private buyers. The traditional foreign brands, many of which are imported into Russia under alternative schemes, accounted for only 6.3%, since in this case there are problems with warranty and service. Corporate customers are more sensitive to these moments, unlike private owners of vehicles.
