05.10.2026 / Which vehicle types form the electric and hybrid vehicle population

According to the marketing agency NAPI, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) population numbered 149.1 thousand vehicles as of July 1, 2026. Within this segment, 121.8 thousand vehicles belonged to private owners, while 27.3 thousand units - to corporate ones. Meanwhile, the electric vehicle population totaled 94.1 thousand units as of July 1, 2026. Private owners accounted for 76.4 thousand vehicles, with corporate clients owning the remaining 17.7 thousand units.

The PHEV population consists almost entirely of cars: private clients hold 121.7 thousand units (81.7% share), while corporate ones - 27.3 thousand units (18.3%). LCV represent a minor part of the population: 0.02 thousand units belong to private owners (79.2%) and 0.005 thousand units - to corporately ones (20.8%).

Cars also dominate the electric vehicle population, comprising 75.8 thousand units held by private owners (84.5% share) and 13.9 thousand units - by corporate ones (15.5%). The electric vehicle population also includes 0.9 thousand LCV, with 0.6 thousand units owned by private clients (69.3%) and 0.3 thousand units - by corporate ones (30.7%). Buses (3.5 thousand units) and trucks (0.04 thousand units) available in the electric vehicle population are exclusively owned by corporate entities.
