According to the marketing agency NAPI, the tractor unit population numbers 839 thousand units as of January 1, 2026.
The most of tractor units in the population were manufactured in 2023 – 79.9 thousand units, representing 9.5% of the population. Tractor units of 2022 y.m. account for 2.8% (23.7 thousand units), 2024 y.m. - for 3.7% (30.8 thousand units), and 2025 y.m. - for 0.3% (2.8 thousand units). The total share of new vehicles manufactured in 2022-2025 is 16.3% of the population.
Until 2022, the tractor unit population consisted primarily of European and Russian brands. Beginning 2022, the population began to change: traditional brands left, replaced by Chinese ones. So, among tractors units of 2022 y.m., Chinese brands account for 45.1%, 2023 y.m. - for 79.8%, and 2024 y.m. - for 67.2%. Russian brands account for about a quarter of tractor units manufactured in 2022 and 2024, and only 10.5% of those manufactured in 2023.
The situation is different with vehicles manufactured in 2025: the share of Chinese tractor units is only 8.2% (59 p.p. less than that of vehicles manufactured in 2024, 71.6 p.p. less than that vehicles manufactured in 2023), while the share of Russian tractor units reaches 72.8% (48.3 p.p. more than that of vehicles manufactured in 2024, 62.3 p.p. more than that of vehicles manufactured in 2023).
