16.09.2025 / The share of Russian trucks became almost equal to that of Chinese ones

According to the marketing agency NAPI, 37.9 thousand new trucks were sold in January-August 2025, which was a 54% decline on the previous year, when 82.3 thousand trucks were sold. Sales of Russian vehicles fell by 25.2% over the year (to 16.2 thousand units), those of Chinese ones - by 67.2% (to 17.3 thousand units). Last year, Chinese vehicles accounted for almost two-thirds of the market, in 2025 its share decreased to 45.7%. At the same time, the share of Russian trucks increased from 26.3% to 42.7%.

Over the first eight months of the current year, the share of Chinese vehicles declined the most in the segments of dumpers (-26 p.p.), construction vehicles (-13 p.p.) and tractor units (-12.2 p.p.).
