02.09.2026 / The number of Chinese vehicles in the LCV population is 26 times smaller than that of Russian ones

According to the marketing agency NAPI, as of July 1, 2026, the LCV population* numbers 4.5 million vehicles.

Of these, 63.4%, or 2.8 million units, are vehicles of Russian brands. German vehicles rank second in the population (9.0% or 406.1 thousand units), while Japanese vehicles occupy the third line (8.2% or 369.3 thousand units). Chinese vehicles took the eighth place in the population, accounting for 2.4% or 107.5 thousand units.

TOP-10 regions by LCV population size are led by Moscow (with a share of 8.7%) and the Moscow region (7.1%). The Krasnodar region and Saint Petersburg account for more than 4% of the population. The Rostov-on-Don, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as the Republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, also entered TOP-10.
