17.08.2026 / Hybrid and electric car taxi population as of July 1, 2026

According to the marketing agency NAPI, as of July 1, 2026, the taxi population numbered 14.1 thousand electric hybrid cars and 3.1 thousand electric cars with valid permits. Hybrid cars account for 1.6% of the total taxi population, while electric ones - for 0.3%.

Three Toyota models entered the TOP-5 list of hybrid car models in the taxi population, including Toyota Prius, accounting for 40.1%.

HONDA FIT and NISSAN NOTE also topped the ranking. TOP-5 account for 72.3% of the hybrid car taxi population.

Three Russian-brand electric cars made the TOP-5: EVOLUTE I-PRO (46.7%), AMBERAVTO A5 (7.6%), and UMO 5 (6.4%). FAW BESTUNE NAT and NISSAN LEAF also entered the TOP-5. TOP-5 models account for 85.5% of the electric car taxi population.
