According to the marketing agency NAPI, there are 1.1 million vehicles in the trailer and semi-trailer population as of January 1, 2026.

Most of vehicles is located in the Central Federal District (282.8 thousand units): it accounts for more than a quarter of the Russia's population of trailers and semi-trailers. Almost 20% of the population is operated in the Volga Federal District (205.1 thousand units). About 10-11% of the trailer population is located in the Southern (123.8 thousand units), Northwestern (115.7 thousand units), Siberian (112.5 thousand units) and Ural (108.7 thousand units) Federal Districts.

Two times fewer trailers and semi-trailers are registered in the North Caucasus Federal District (54.1 thousand units), the district accounts for 5.1% of the population. Another 51,1 thousand vehicles are located in the Far Eastern Federal District, accounting for 4.9% of the population.
