The marketing agency NAPI analyzed the dynamics of average prices* for new cars in January 2022-2026. The analysis focused on such Russian brands as LADA and UAZ, as well as the best-selling Chinese brands in 2025: CHANGAN, CHERY, GEELY, and HAVAL.
Over the four years, from January 2022 to January 2026, GEELY cars experienced the largest price increase, with the average price growing by 99.2%, or 1.95 million rubles. Prices for CHERY (+86.2%, or 1.46 million rubles) and CHANGAN (+85.8%, or 1.5 million rubles) cars also saw significant increase. HAVAL's price grew by 1.10 million rubles, or 1.5-fold. Over the similar period, the price for LADA cars was up by 84.1%, or 783.2 thousand rubles. Among the brands analyzed, UAZ cars experienced the smallest price increase (+43.4%, or 579.2 thousand rubles).
In January 2026, the average price for Geely cars grew by 16.1% on the similar period of 2025. Prices for UAZ (+7.8%) and LADA (+5.9%) cars increased slightly. HAVAL (+0.5%) and CHANGAN (+0.1%) cars appreciated slightly as well. The average price for Chery cars fell: by 3.4% in 2025 and by 1.5% this year.
