According to the marketing agency NAPI, over the first five months of 2024, production of all vehicle types increased by 46.8% on January-May 2023. If results of the current year are compared with those of the pre-Covid 2019, the production of all vehicle types fell by 50.2% caused by a sharp decline in the car production. It is interesting to note that the number of light commercial vehicles (LCV), trucks and buses produced in January-May of the current year exceeded that produced in the prosperous 2019.
