According to the NAPI data, as of July 1, 2022, the share of electric cars and electric hybrids in the car population* was only 0.28%, 150 thousand electric cars and electric hybrids travel on the roads of Russia. Compressed natural gas (methane) is used by 132 thousand cars, propane-butane (LPG) is used by 980 thousand cars. The bulk of cars (97.6%) runs on the traditional automotive fuel - gasoline or diesel.
