According to Russian Automotive Market Research, over the first seven months of 2021, the import* of new trucks to Russia amounted to 18.8 thousand units, which was a 73% rise on the similar period of 2020.
Mainly tractor units are imported to Russia, this vehicle type accounted for 34.1% of new truck import in January-July 2021. Chassis and dropside trucks have large shares in import as well: this year they accounted for 18.7% and 14.6%, respectively.
