11.11.2022 / St. Petersburg LNG buses versus Moscow electric buses

According to the NAPI data, as of July 1, 2022 electric buses and buses running on LNG in the bus population * account for 0.13% each. Electric buses are primarily purchased in Moscow, while the most of the LNG buses is purchased in Saint Petersburg. During 2022, about 2.4 thousand LNG buses should be delivered to the northern capital. Moscow plans to purchase 420 electric buses in 2022. The overwhelming amount of buses in Russia (864 thousand units) runs on the traditional automobile fuel - gasoline or diesel.
