In January-November 2019, the weighted average price for new trailers and semi-trailers1 increased by 4.0% on the same period of 2018 and amounted to 2 580 197 rubles.

The new trailer market capacity grew by 1.1% for the reporting period and reached 73 618 million rubles.

Weighted average prices for used trailers for the reporting period increased by 7.9% year-on-year to 1 062 835 rubles. The used trailer market capacity was 84 814 million rubles (+5.5%).

New trailer market

In January-November 2019 all TOP-102 brands showed increase in weighted average prices.

For the reporting period SCHMITZ was the leader by financial capacity – 13 961 million rubles.

For the reporting period KAESSBOHRER (+55.4%) and TONAR (+34.2%) were leaders by sales growth in monetary terms. This increase in financial capacity is primarily due to a significant increase in sales of these brands: KAESSBOHRER increased its sales by 33.7%, TONAR - by 25.3%.

The most pronounced negative dynamics was shown by KRONE (-34.3%) and KOEGEL (-28.7%), caused by the decrease in new trailer sales of these brands by 34.8% and 28.9%, respectively.

The Moscow region became the leader by financial results among regional markets. Following results of eleven months of this year, new trailers on 8 865 million rubles were sold in the region. Capacity of markets of Tatarstan Republic and Saint Petersburg, which also entered the top three, amounted to 5 216 million rubles and 4 649 million rubles, respectively.

Used trailer market

For the reporting period 18 422 million rubles were spent on the purchase of used Schmitz trailers, which is a 4.8% rise year-on-year. TOP-3 brands by the market capacity also included KRONE (10 223 million rubles) and KOEGEL (3 979 million rubles).

The largest financial capacity among TOP-10 regional used trailer markets in January-November 2019 belonged to the Moscow region – 5 557 million rubles.

Dynamics of the market capacity was negative in Saint Petersburg and the Sverdlovsk region caused by the decrease in used trailer sales in these regions by 20.9% and 22.3%, respectively.
