In January-April 2021, used trailer sales grew by 13.3%, while their weighted average prices increased by 10.2%. In this regard, the used trailer market revenue was up by 30.2% and amounted to 30.8 billion rubles.

New trailer market

The Tatarstan Republic became the leader by financial results among regional markets. In January-April 2021, new trailers on 3.8 billion rubles were sold in the region. The market revenue of the Moscow region and Moscow, which also entered the TOP-3, amounted to 3.5 billion rubles and 2.2 billion rubles, respectively.

The largest increase in the market revenue was shown by the Krasnoyarsk region (+139.4%). Over the first four months of 2021, new trailer sales in this region grew by 86.9%.

Positive dynamics of sales and the market revenue remained in all TOP-10 regions2.

In January-April 2021, SCHMITZ became the leader by financial results. For the reporting period, 6.9 billion rubles were spent on the trailers of this brand. It was followed by TONAR, sales of which in money terms amounted to 3.4 billion rubles. TOP-3 also included KRONE with a financial result of 3.3 billion rubles.

The largest increase in the market revenue was shown by KRONE (+140.5%). Over the first four months of 2021, sales of KRONE trailers in quantitative terms grew by 123.3%.

Nine TOP-10 brands showed positive dynamics of the market revenue. Negative dynamics of SESPEL financial results can be explained by the decrease in its trailer sales for the reporting period by 8.1%.

The largest market revenue for the reporting period in the used trailer market belonged to the Krasnodar region – 2.2 billion rubles. TOP-3 also included the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, in which 2.2 billion rubles and 1.5 billion rubles were spent on the used trailers, respectively.

Positive dynamics of the market revenue remained in all ten regions presented.

Sales of KRONE and KOEGEL used trailers in money terms amounted to 4.2 billion rubles and 1.6 billion rubles, respectively.

Nine TOP-10 brands kept positive dynamics of the market revenue. Negative dynamics of SZAP financial results can be explained by the decrease in demand for used trailers of this brand for the reporting period by 13.1%.
