According to Russian Automotive Market Research, in January-June 2020, 40.3 thousand cars were transferred to financial leasing, which was a 30% decline year-on-year.

In the first half of 2020, VOLKSWAGEN accounted for almost 20% of leased cars. TOP-3 also included the Russian LADA and the premium BMW. The fourth position was occupied by KIA, which was on the second place in the same period of 2019.

Trucks

In the first half of 2020, 21.9 thousand trucks were purchased under financial leasing, which was a 25% decline year-on-year.

KAMAZ vehicles were in the greatest demand among lessees among trucks leased in the first half of 2020. VOLVO trucks occupied the second place. MAN rounded out the leading three.

Light commercial vehicles

Following results of the first half of 2020, 9.7 thousand LCV were purchased under financial leasing, which was a 27% decline year-on-year.

GAZ vehicles accounted for half of leased LCV. The Russian LADA strengthened its position in leasing: in January-June 2020, its share was 13% against 4% in the similar period of the previous year. UAZ light commercial vehicles retained the third place with a share of 11%.
