In January-August 2020, the market revenue of new LCV1 amounted to 104 billion rubles, which was a 7.3% decline on January-August 2019.
Negative dynamics of the market revenue was caused by a 12.3% decrease in new LCV sales.

In January-August 2020, used LCV sales fell by 11.4% on January-August 2019. In this regard, the used LCV market revenue decreased by 9.1% and amounted to 158 billion rubles.

New LCV market
The largest new LCV market revenue for the reporting period belonged to Moscow – 16.6 billion rubles. TOP-3 also included the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, in which 9.4 billion rubles and 6.3 billion rubles were spent on new LCV, respectively.
Six TOP 15 regional markets kept positive dynamics of the market revenue.

GAZ traditionally became the leader by financial results. In January-August 2020, this brand sold its new LCV on 40.5 billion rubles. FORD, vehicle sales of which in money terms amounted to 17.8 billion rubles, followed it. VOLKSWAGEN also entered TOP-3 with a financial result of 10.4 billion rubles.
Several TOP-15 brands showed growth of the market revenue. This dynamics of FORD, MITSUBISHI, FIAT and ISUZU brands was due not only to rising prices, but to the increase in demand for these vehicles for the reporting period. LADA and CITROEN increased their financial results due to growth in prices.

Used LCV market
Moscow became the leader among Russian regions by the used LCV market revenue. Over the first eight months of 2020, used LCV on 13.4 billion rubles were sold in the capital. The market revenue of the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, which are also among TOP-3, amounted to 13.0 billion rubles and 8.4 billion rubles, respectively.
All TOP-15 regional markets showed negative dynamics of the market revenue.

Over the first eight months of 2020, the best financial result belonged to GAZ. 44.0 billion rubles were spent on the used LCV of this brand. It was followed by VOLKSWAGEN and TOYOTA. For the reporting period, sales of used VOLKSWAGEN and TOYOTA light commercial vehicles in money terms amounted to 18.6 billion rubles and 13.2 billion rubles, respectively.
It should be noted LADA was the only TOP-15 brand to increase LCV sales in both quantitative (+17.4%) and money terms (+21.4%). MITSUBISHI increased its financial results due to rising prices.
