In April 2021 the commercial vehicle market showed significant growth on April 2020, when the country was in a strict quarantine mode caused by the coronavirus.

In January-April 2021, 28.92 thousand new trucks were sold in the Russian market, which was a 32.0% rise year-on-year.

In April 2021, new truck sales increased 2-fold (a 105.8% increase) on April 2020 and amounted to 9.62 thousand units.

The leader among regional markets in April 2021 was the Moscow region, in which new truck sales amounted to 1.05 thousand units (+204.1%). It was followed by the Tatarstan Republic and Moscow. All TOP-20 regions showed positive sales dynamics.

New truck sales of the market leader KAMAZ amounted to 3.41 thousand units in April 2021, which was a 80.3% rise on April 2020. GAZ occupied the second place with a result of 1.10 thousand units (+93.3%). SCANIA, which sold 0.85 thousand trucks, rounded out the TOP-3 (+168.0%).

In January-April 2021, 3.82 thousand new buses were sold in the Russian market, which was a 3.4% decline year-on-year.

In April 2021 the new bus market grew by 162.6% on April 2020. A total of 1.33 thousand new buses were sold in the Russian market in April 2021.

In April 2021, the rating of regions by new bus sales was headed by Moscow, Voronezh and Kemerovo regions.

In April 2021 bus sales of the market leader PAZ increased by 157.1% and amounted to 0.79 thousand units. The second place was occupied by NEFAZ, sales of which grew more than 3-fold to 0.22 thousand units. TOP-3 also included LIAZ, which sold 0.21 thousand buses.
