According to Russian Automotive Market Research, there are 202.1 thousand cars in financial leasing contracts valid as of February 1, 2020.

Lada cars are in the greatest demand among lessees in 34 Russian regions. Their share was 10.3% in financial leasing contracts valid as of February 1, 2020.

Lessees in 23 regions give the greatest preference to Japanese Toyota cars.

The rating is headed by Volkswagen in 7 regions, including Moscow and Saint Petersburg. This brand has the largest share (13.6%) in financial leasing contracts valid as of February 1, 2020.

South Korean KIA and Hyundai took the leading positions in 4 regions (each).

Japanese Datsun cars are in the greatest demand among lessees of the Omsk region, as well as from Republics of Crimea and Kalmykia. At the same time, the share of these cars in financial leasing contracts valid as of February 1, 2020 was 1.7%.

French Renault cars gained popularity among lessees in 5 Russian regions, while Czech Skoda cars – in 2 regions.

Lessees prefer premium cars in 3 regions: BMW – in the Leningrad region, Lexus - in the Amur region, Mercedes-Benz - in the Nenets AR.
