Following results of five months of 2020¹ 55.86 thousand financial leasing contracts for vehicles and trailers were concluded in Russia², which was a 25% decline on the similar period of 2019³.

In January-May 2020, 62.93 thousand vehicles and trailers were transferred to financial leasing, which was a 28% decrease year-on-year.

In January-May 2020, the number of leased buses fell by 46%, LCV – by 32%, trucks and cars – by 30% and 27%, respectively. The minimum decline was shown by trailers and semi-trailers - 7%.

Special purpose vehicles

In January-May 2020, the number of leasing contracts for special purpose vehicles increased by 6% on January-May 2019 and amounted to 7.08 thousand units.

For the reporting period, 8.18 thousand special purpose vehicles were transferred to financial leasing, which was a 3% rise year-on-year.

In January-May 2020, the number of leased agricultural vehicles decreased by 14%, road construction vehicles - by 1% year-on-year. Over the first five months of 2020, lessees purchased 12% more warehouse vehicles than in the same period of 2019.
