The agency Russian Automotive Market Research analyzed the truck leasing market for four months of 2021.

In the first four months of 2021¹, 22.9 thousand new and used trucks were transferred to financial leasing, which was a 80% rise on the similar period of 2020². New trucks accounted for 18.7 thousand units of them, which was a 79% growth on January-April 2020.

The equity participation of various lessees in financial leasing transactions changed. The share of sole proprietors increased by 2% to 8%, while that of individuals grew from 0.2% to 2%. The share of companies with state participation, on the contrary, fell to 2%. At the same time, the joint share of other companies decreased and amounted to 88% (see Fig. 1).

In January-April 2021, the share of leased vehicles³ in new corporate truck sales was 71.8%, which was a 19.3% rise year-on-year (see Fig. 2).
