24.12.2025 / Less than 4% of vehicles are leased

According to the marketing agency NAPI, in January-November 2025, 7.4 million new and used cars and commercial vehicles were sold, including 265.5 thousand units issued for financial and operational leasing. Over the year, the share of vehicles leased decreased from 5.3% to 3.6% (-1.7 p.p).

Of all new and used vehicles leased, cars account for 54.2% (+4.7 p.p. on 2024), LCV* – 17.4% (+2.1 p.p), and buses – 2.4% (+0.6 p.p). The share of trucks** fell to 18.4% (-4.9 p.p), trailers – to 7.6% (-2.5 p.p).

In January-November 2025, the share of new vehicles leased decreased most significantly in the trailer (-21.7 p.p) and truck (-21.1 p.p) segments on the similar period last year. This share decreased less in the LCV (-4.2 p.p) and car (-3 p.p) segments. At the same time, the share of new buses leased grew (+9.2 p.p).

The share of used cars leased increased in all segments over eleven months of the current year: buses (+3.8 p.p), trailers (+2.4 p.p), trucks (+2.2 p.p), LCV (+0.3 p.p), and cars (+0.1 p.p).

It should be noted that in the total volume of vehicles leased, the share of new vehicles decreased from 83.6% to 71% (-12.6 p.p), while that of used ones grew from 16.4% to 29%.
