20.07.2021 / LCV sales significantly grew both in quantitative and money terms
DownloadIn January-May 2021, the new LCV1 market revenue amounted to 97 billion rubles, which was a 62.6% rise on January-May 2020 primarily due to a 43.4% growth in new LCV sales.

In January-May 2021, used LCV sales increased by 24.4%. The weighted average price for used LCV grew by 11.4%. In this regard, the used LCV market revenue was up by 38.6% and amounted to 122 billion rubles.

New LCV market
The largest new LCV market revenue for the reporting period was shown by Moscow – 15.2 billion rubles. The TOP-3 regions also included the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, in which 10.2 billion rubles and 6.2 billion rubles were spent on the new LCV, respectively.

GAZ traditionally became the leader by financial results. In January-May 2021, this brand sold new LCV on 35.5 billion rubles. It was followed by FORD, vehicle sales of which in money terms amounted to 17.8 billion rubles. VOLKSWAGEN also entered the TOP-3 with a financial result of 8.8 billion rubles.
It should be noted that reduction in the weighted average price for PEUGEOT light commercial vehicles was caused by the change in its sales structure: increase in the shares of the cheapest models against the background of the decrease in the shares of the most expensive ones.
The reduction in financial results of MITSUBISHI, ISUZU and HYUNDAI was caused by the decrease in their sales by 16.3%, 22.6% and 66.7%, respectively.

Used LCV market
Moscow became the leader among Russian regions by used LCV market revenue: following results of five months of 2021, used LCV on 10.8 billion rubles were sold in the capital. The market revenue of the Moscow and the Krasnoyarsk regions, which also entered the TOP-3, amounted to 10.3 billion rubles and 7.3 billion rubles, respectively.

Following results of five months of 2021, the best financial result belonged to GAZ. 35.6 billion rubles were spent on the used LCV of this brand. It was followed by VOLKSWAGEN and TOYOTA. For the reporting period, sales of used VOLKSWAGEN and TOYOTA light commercial vehicles in money terms amounted to 14.1 billion rubles and 10.5 billion rubles, respectively.
