Over the first nine months of 2020, the market revenue of new LCV[1] amounted to 123 billion rubles, which was a 3.9% decline on the same period of 2019.
Negative dynamics of the market revenue was caused by a 9% drop in new LCV sales.

In January-September 2020, used LCV sales decreased by 8% on January-September 2019. In this regard, the used LCV market revenue fell by 5.5% and amounted to 184 billion rubles.

New LCV market
The largest new LCV market revenue for the reporting period was registered in Moscow - 19.4 billion rubles. TOP-3 also included the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, in which 10.9 billion rubles and 7.8 billion rubles were spent on the new LCV, respectively.
Six TOP-15 regional markets kept positive dynamics of the market revenue.

GAZ traditionally became the leader by financial results. In January-September 2020, this brand sold new LCV on 46.7 billion rubles. It was followed by FORD, vehicle sales of which in money terms amounted to 21.7 billion rubles. VOLKSWAGEN also entered the top three with a financial result of 11.7 billion rubles.
Several TOP-15 brands showed the growth of the market revenue. This dynamics of FORD, LADA, MITSUBISHI, CITROEN, FIAT and ISUZU brands was caused not only by price growth, but also by increase in demand for these vehicles for the reporting period. TOYOTA and PEUGEOT increased their financial results due to rising prices.

Used LCV market
Moscow became the leader among Russian regions by the used LCV market revenue. Over the first nine months of 2020, used LCV on 15.7 billion rubles were sold in the capital. The market revenue of the Moscow region and Saint Petersburg, which also entered the top three, amounted to 15.4 billion rubles and 10.0 billion rubles, respectively.
Almost all TOP-15 regional markets showed negative dynamics of the market revenue. The only exception was Tatarstan Republic and the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Following results of the first nine months of 2020, the best financial result belonged to GAZ. 51.4 billion rubles were spent on used LCV of this brand. It was followed by VOLKSWAGEN and MERCEDES-BENZ. For the reporting period, sales of used light commercial vehicles of these brands in money terms amounted to 21.7 billion rubles and 15.5 billion rubles, respectively.
It should be noted that LADA and MITSUBISHI increased LCV sales both in quantitative and money terms. MAZDA increased its financial results due to rising prices.
