RIAT JSC has released a new chassis based on KAMAZ-43118

The new 4-axle chassis with a sliding axle on the air suspension has been created based on the serial KAMAZ-43118. The special chassis was developed and manufactured by the authorized KAMAZ partner, RIAT JSC, for use in the oil and gas industry, in the construction sector, as well as for the production of vacuum machines for various purposes.

The fourth axle of the new vehicle is completely produced in Russia. This is a sliding axle on the air suspension with high-reliability balloon air springs, an upper V-shaped jet rod, longitudinal lower jet rods, a lateral roll stabilizer and double-acting hydraulic shock absorbers. The use of such a solution and a pressure control system in the air springs of the sliding axle makes it possible to optimally redistribute the loads between the axles of the rear balancing suspension and the sliding axle.

Depending on the configuration of 8x6 chassis, the maximum permissible load on the fourth rear axle can be 7 or 8 tons, with an increase in the load capacity of the chassis by 6 or 7 tons, respectively. The use of Russian sliding axle assemblies reduces the cost of the chassis, as well as maintenance costs. Chassis-43118 with 6x6 wheel arrangement can enter public roads with a load of 12.2 tons, and with an 8x6 wheel arrangement - with a load of 19.7 tons, without special passes.
