Production of GAC cars will be launched at the former Hyundai plant
The assembly of three GAC models will be launched at the former Hyundai plant (AGR Holding) in Saint Petersburg.
These will be GS3 and GS8 crossovers, as well as M8 minivan. It is known that GS3 is the most low-cost model available on the Russian market – its cost is 2.45 million rubles. Russian customers can purchase the flagship GS8 at the price starting from 4.1 million rubles, and M8 minivan – from 5.5 million rubles.
According to the source, localization of GAC production is carried out to ensure compliance with government support and incentive programs, as well as to maintain an affordable cost against competitors due to the reduced recycling tax rate.
