KAMAZ dumpers of the K5 generation were presented at an exhibition held last weekend in the Tver region, as part of the National Contest of Road Construction Machinery Operators.
KAMAZ-6595 (6x4) dumper is designed to work at large industrial infrastructure facilities, in mountain and sand quarries. The vehicle is equipped with KAMAZ R6 910.52-460 diesel engine capacity of 482 HP and manual gear box. The load capacity of the dumper is 25 tons; its permissible weight is 41 tons. KAMAZ-6595 dumper has a reinforced frame and reinforced drive axles designed for an axial load of 16 tons. The comfortable all-steel cabin on a 4-point suspension has no berth. The dump unit is a heated platform made of wear-resistant steel with a volume of up to 20 m3. The designers used a massive 3-section bumper made of stamped steel in front and reinforced timber in the rear to ensure the truck protection.
The second vehicle presented at the exhibition, KAMAZ–65951 dumper (8x4), also belongs to the family of heavy-duty trucks of the K5 generation. Having the same component base as the dumper with index -6595, it is equipped with a dump body volume of 25 m3 and has 4 axles – two steering and two driving ones. Load capacity is up to 32.5 tons, GVW – 50 tons.
