AvtoVAZ will resume production of LADA Vesta in March 2023

The AVTOVAZ head Maxim Sokolov spoke at the parliamentary hearings of the Federation Council "On supporting import substitution of products, services and technologies that are critically important from the viewpoint of dependence on import in civilian industries of the Russian Federation".

Sokolov said that the production of Lada Vesta is scheduled to be resumed in March 2023. It is known that the first three bodies for this model have already been welded at the AVTOVAZ plant in Togliatti on October 13. The transfer of production of this car series from Izhevsk to Togliatti was approved in August.

Moreover, according to the company president, foreign automakers have already approached AvtoVAZ with an offer to establish the CKD assembly of their brands' cars. Negotiations are currently underway with foreign partners.
