Modernization of the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has been launched
Kaliningrad Avtotor has announced the completion of installation of an automated welding line capable of producing bodies of various models on a single platform. According to the representatives of the company, preparatory work is currently underway for the launch, during which the first test body was welded.
The main direction of modernization is the use of a system of precision welding robots capable of rapid adaptation to welding bodies for various models. The production capacity of this line is 80 thousand bodies per year.
In addition, the use of robotic labor has been resumed in the paint shop, where the main function of robots is to apply secondary primer, base enamel and varnish coating.
