KAMAZ delivered another batch consisting of 40 NEFAZ-5299-40-57 buses to the capital of Tatarstan. The company will gradually deliver a total of 157 low-floor NEFAZ-5299-40-57 gas-powered buses to Kazan. This is the second delivery of passenger vehicles under the concluded contract. Recall that the first batch consisting of 20 buses was placed at the customer's disposal in September 2024. Buses are purchased under the GTLK preferential leasing program with the involvement of funds from the National Welfare Fund.
NEFAZ-5299-40-57 bus runs on eco-friendly natural gas. NEFAZ buses intended for the capital of Tatarstan are equipped with two additional gas cylinders, so that drivers will work out a shift without checking in for refueling. For safety, there are gas leak sensors in buses. They are also equipped with air conditioners, video surveillance systems, USB sockets, and media systems with a cabin screen.
New passenger vehicles have joined Public Transport Enterprise No. 2 fleet, which accounts for about 80% of all bus traffic in Kazan.
