Volgabus presents the new 6270G4 HyperBUS model, a gas-powered city bus with increased passenger capacity.
The three-axle bus with a 14.5 m body is capable of carrying 130 passengers and seating 51 passengers. Thus, the number of seats is 90% more than that of a standard urban low-floor bus and 40% more than that of an 18-meter articulated bus.
The fuel is compressed natural gas, the cost of which is 30-40% lower than that of diesel. At the same time, despite the increased dimensions, the CNG consumption remains the same as that of its 12-meter counterparts. The engine power is 205 kW.
The bus is equipped with a 40 kW climate system, heaters and a liquid heater. The cabin also features contactless fare payment systems, an information and multimedia complex with a large screen and bright route indicators, and an all-round video camera system with recording to a hard disk.
Volgabus 6270G4 will be available in both urban and suburban versions. At that, the suburban version has 65 seats, upholstered chairs and luggage compartments with a volume of 6 m3. Both versions can be combined with a diesel engine and manual gear box at the customer's request.
