UralAZ commissioned two new sections for the axle production

As part of the project aimed to organize own production of drive axles and front axles for heavy-duty vehicles, the URAL Automobile Plant has put the first two sections into commercial operation: "Drum-hub" and "Cage-trunnion". The project is being implemented with the participation of the Federal Industrial Development Fund, which has provided preferential loans totaling 7 billion rubles for the implementation of the Axles project.

As part of the project to aimed develop the production of new axles, an automatic complex of CNC equipment for machining brake drums and hubs and production cells for machining trunnions and differential cages are being put into commercial operation at the automotive components production site of JSC AZ URAL. In total, 11 new modern production sites will be launched by the end of the year as part of the Axles project.

The annual capacity of the equipment complex for machining drums and hubs is 120 thousand hubs and 145 thousand brake drums. The line covers an area of 1,100 m2. It consists of 9 units of high-performance CNC metal cutting equipment, 2 units of washing and control equipment, 2 units of pressing equipment and 5 robotic complexes for loading and unloading parts into the working areas of the equipment.
