UAZ vehicles will be equipped with a new diesel engine
Sollers, which owns the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, announced a project for the production of diesel engines. The production of power plants will be set up in a special economic zone "Alabuga" in Tatarstan.
The project cost is estimated at 2.2 billion rubles. The investments are expected to localize the production of diesel engines displacement of 2.0-2.7 liters on the basis of deep localization of basic parts and all key process operations. In the future, power units can be adapted to the Euro-6 standard.
Currently, UAZ vehicles are equipped with 2.7-liter 112- and 150-HP petrol engines.
