The Tutaev Motor Plant, KAMAZ subsidiary in the Yaroslavl region, is working on a large-scale kaizen project aimed at optimizing the technical process of engine repair. The goal of the project, which is being implemented at the engine overhaul site in the machine assembly shop, is to speed up the repair process from two to five engines per week.
To achieve the project's goal, the site team also plans to install a jib crane to move large parts at the washing site. The flywheel stands and the flywheel crankcase are in the process of being finalized. Work is underway at the warehouse to create location storage for the distribution of parts, their accounting and convenience in operation.
It is planned to fully implement the kaizen project by the end of March. Its implementation will increase the speed of engine repair by more than two-fold.
