The Tutaev Motor Plant, KAMAZ subsidiary in the Yaroslavl region, has launched mass production of engines with cast-iron cylinder heads.
The updated engines have already been delivered to the assembly line of the main customer, the Saint Petersburg Tractor Plant. In May, it is planned to deliver 12 engines with a cast-iron cylinder head. The plan for June is 48 engines.
The new cast-iron cylinder head is interchangeable with aluminum one in terms of overall and connecting dimensions, therefore it is supplied for spare parts at the request of service centers. The Kirovets-72 LLC service center, located in the Tyumen region, replaced aluminum heads with cast iron ones in the Kirovets tractor, which is operated by the Evika-Agro agricultural company. The feedback from the partner company is positive, experts note an increase in engine thrust.
